Nice menu lousy service. Applebee's Neighborhood Grill &;amp Bar has several locations throughout metropolitan Las Vegas but this review was conducted at the one located in the southwest part of town. Chain restaurants can be the a comfortable place for dining when away from home because it is familiar. Applebee's is no exception. The menu is extensive with specialty items like Cajun cuisine or seasonal dishes. Watch the front blackboard for daily specials which saves a few bucks to buy that t-shirt to send to home. During this review I tried the chicken and beef fajita combo. Served on a hot sizzling platter, this is a meal for two. Fresh peppers, onions, chicken breast and sliced beef which you roll into a warm flour tortilla with a side of garnish. Or try the delicious riblets, cut small for bite size appetites.
This is a restaurant where you really should save room for dessert. No matter your taste you can find it here, apple, cinnamon, chocolate, brownie, hot fudge, or vanilla ice cream, dessert is the best.
They also have a list of specialty bar drinks. Tall, cool, and delicious but not cheap.
The atmosphere is light and airy with lots of memorabilia on the walls and no slots. The service leaves little to be desired. It took three times asking to get a glass of water and the bar drinks sat on the bar for 10 minutes before being delivered. But the food prices are inexpensive and the food is good. So if you're home sick and looking for something familiar, stop in at Applebee's.
