Great Italian food and service! Bertolini's Restaurant offers a menu of inticing and innovative Italian dishes created with fresh ingredients in a perfect presentation. Two locations in town offers the locals and out-of-town guests easy access to this delicious trattoria. It may be difficult to decide on your antipasti (appetizer) since they all sound scrumptious. I usually choose the Calamari Fritti, fried crisp and served on a bed of spicey tomato caper dipping sauce. This is always a winning start.
Soup and salads are offered ala carte. The traditional Pasta e Fagioli or the Tuscan Bread Soup will warm your soul. Entrees range from hand-tossed pizzas to pastas to house specials. Try the Bianca con Salmone pizza combining smoked salmon, capers, red onions and parsley topped with a sauce of ricotta cheese sour cream and chives. I like the classic lasagne but the rigatoni with Ragu of Sausage steals my taste buds away. Their Scallopine di Vitello con Funghi, made with veal medallions sauteed in a wild mushroom marsala wine sauce is another great dinner choice. For chicken lovers, try the Scallopine di pollo e Carciofi. The chicken medallions are sauteed with artichoke hearts, Italian bacon, pinenuts and a lemon butter sauce, served with oven roasted potatoes. Risotto lovers be sure to ask for the daily Risotto special, you won't be disappointed!
You'll find an excellent wine selection to accompany any Italian repast you order. The bartenders are well versed in all types of cocktails, even the traditional lime daiquiri which is making its return to to the bar scene.
The atmosphere is light and airy. An occasional din from the open ktichen can overcome conversation if your table is located too close to the chefs. This is also the case in the Forum Shops locale by the fountain. The food prices are reasonable although the cocktails and beer are a bit pricey for Las Vegas. The service is always superb and the food is sublime. A perfect spot for a nice evening on the town.
