A beef lover's delight! Stuart Anderson's Black Angus Restaurant is a steakhouse with all the trimmings. If you're in the mood for choice angus beef steak this is the place for you. The menu offers every cut under the sun. You'll find prime rib, top sirlon, porterhouse, NY and even an assortment of seafood items. Surf and turf lovers can pair their choice of beef with their selection of seafood to make that perfect combo platter. I decided on the London Broil. It was cooked to my exact specifications. Meal accompaniments are vast. My favorite is the fresh cut cole slaw in place of soup or salad. The garlic mashed potatoes were heavenly. They also offer red potatoes, rice pilaf, fries or steamed vegetables. The portions are good size and the steak was definately "choice black angus beef."
The oversized booths with high backs offer a private feel at each table. They usually offer a variety of specials. Some are listed on the blackboard at the entrance, others are inclded as inserts in your menu and still others are advertised on television. Specialty drinks are listed at each table on the table tent. If you save room fopr dessert, they have a nice selection. Chocolate lovers should order the chocolate fudge cake topped with vanilla ice cream and coverd with hot fudge sauce.
The service was fair as I had to ask a few times for water or extra butter. The place is usually busy so you may have to wait for a table. Prices are moderate.
