Old world charm! The Bootlegger Ristorante is a fine Italian restaurant that takes you off the busy neon lit streets into old Rome itself. The atmosphere is personable and cozy. A small bar at one end is always full, a sign of good drinks and good service. Every meal begins with their homemade hot breads. The cheese muffins are delicious. The nice thing about The Bootlegger is that you can order any dinner as ala carte or full. The full dinner includes soup and salad. Their "from scratch" soups are hot and full of fresh vegetables. It's a good way to lead into the entree. One of the few places in town that offers meat filled ravioli, The Bootlegger, has a wide variety of pastas and pizzas. My personal favorite is the "Chicken Marsala". It is the best anywhere. Tender chicken breast fillets lightly pounded and served in a delectable marsala sauce. And don't forget to order a bottle of Chianti Reserve to get that real feel of Italy. If you find you have room left for dessert, they provide an excellent choice of after dinner sweets.
The service is very good. The bus help is always checking your fresh bread level and the water glasses. Should your bread get cold, he'll happily replace them with hot from the oven rolls. Prices are inexpensive to moderate. The food is always first class and plentiful. Just a few minutes from the Strip, it's a nice get-away for an enchanting Italian evening. Oh, I almost forgot, they also offer the full menu to go, in case you just want to eat in.
