Stephen Speilberg made a splash in Vegas! Dive! is a different type of restaurant with a flair for the underwater world. This movie producer mogul's venue is located in the Fashion Show Mall on the Strip. Fashioned after a huge submerging submarine, it's hard to miss in this desert of sand. The effects inside are entertaining for young and old. The ceiling has a track on which a variety of submarines continually race. But that's not all. When the dive signal is given, the place seems to submerge. Water covers the outside windows and the large screen TV at one end of the restaurant shows passing marine life and scenes from the lost city of Atlantis. But enough of the spectical, and on with the food review.

Best sandwiches in town. The choice could take you forever though. Rumor has it that Mr. Speilberg couldn't get his "perfect" sandwich when eating out so he built this restaurant as a solution. Which one is his favorite? We'll never tell you'll have to try them all. Or check out the wonderful fresh pastas dishes. The right amount of garlic and spice makes these dishes winners too. But I must say my favorite is a tie between the scrumptious hand cut french fries accompanied by several delicious dipping sauces or the tantilizing deep fried carrot chips! And they don't skimp on portion size.

The service is usually good but the place can get abit noisy. I suppose submarines are known for echoes bouncing off metal. There is a wait at times but if you call before you head over they can put your name on the waiting list and you won't have to wait as long. The prices are bit on the high end, but you're on the Strip, in a ship, in the desert, submerged in water....someone's got to pay the price!
