Great steak and best Happy Hour in town! Outback Steakhouse is renown across the country for good food and that special "Aussie" seasoning. But here in Las Vegas they take it a bit further. Start with two-for-one well drinks and draft beers, move on over to a bloomin' onion. A spicy battered sweet onion deep fried to a golden brown, then top it all off with a great dinner. There are too many good choices on the menu, like Brisbane Shrimp Saute, large shrimp lying on a bed of garlic buttered pasta smothered with mushrooms. Babyback ribs are tender and fall apart in your mouth (although you can do without those nasty cinnamon apples on the side). The delightfully seasoned steaks range from sirloin to rib eyes to filet. But my favorite is new on the menu, The Mixed Grill. Your choice of chicken or steak, seasoned and cooked to perfection with bell peppers stuffed with fresh mushrooms, pineapple, onions and tomatoes. Served atop a spicy rice pilaf, you'll love the taste combinations! Hot brown bread and your choice of salad comes with most entrees.
Let's not forget about dessert though, not that you'll find you have room for it after all you've eaten. Try the Thunder from Down Under, a huge hot brownie, topped with rich vanilla ice cream and covered in hot chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It's big enough for two.
The atmosphere is fun and happy with photos of Australia and "Down Under" memorabilia. The service is very good even if they are terribly busy. The lines can be long at times so get your name on the waiting list and grab a beeper. They'll buzz you when your table is ready. Dinner prices are moderate and lunch is down right inexpensive. This is a chain restaurant unlike the norm, with good service, great food and the best Happy Hour.
