Lobster heaven! Palm Restaurant located in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace creates lobster dishes to write essays. But no essays in this column. A polished look with white linen, it screams exquisite but in Las Vegas casual works too. You must start with one of their fresh made soups of the day. Lobster bisque, my favorite, is rich, creamy and loaded with large pieces of lobster meat. Each meal is served with a plate of house "hash browned" potatoes and handmade potato chips. Another yummy for those not watching their fat intact. Huge delicious salads, sandwiches or hot dinners adorn the menu. Saute chicken over pasta, prime rib sandwich, or Lobster Salad, there's something for everyone. The lobster they serve must be flown in from the Canadian coast of the Atlantic since they all look over 2 pounds! (You can even pick your own for dinner.)
The dessert menu is awesome, chocolate items, cheesecake or fresh fruit. The walls are decorated with original caricatures of famous and wanna be famous people. The staff is friendly and helpful although usually too slow. It may take several requests just to get a glass of water. They do offer full bar service and a nice wine menu.
Prices are moderate to expensive. But what do you expect for lobster this far from the coast, a fancy entrance through Caesars Palace and the great location of being on the strip. You get what you pay for here.
