Nice intimate dining! The Redwood Grill is a quiet little restaurant located inside the California Hotel & Casino. Their menu offers a wide variety of choices from steaks and chicken to duck and seafood entrees. Each meal begins with a crisp garden-fresh vegetable tray served with the best dipping sauce in town. A great treat while deciding on that perfect wine to accompany dinner. Their wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The appetizer selection is short and sweet covering seafood, escargot and stuffed mushrooms.

I decided on the Thai Duckling in a plum sauce. It was terrific! The breast meat was sliced thin and lay around the crisped thigh quarter. You have a choice of soup or salad as well as several choices of potato. Being Friday, the traditional Boston Clam Chowder was the soup du jour. But if you perfer a juicy steak, you will not be disappointed. The twin thick tenderloin filets topped with mushroom caps and a demi-glaze were enough for two meals. Don't forget about dessert. A must for all chocolate lovers.

The wait service was good although abit slow even though it was conspicously unbusy. The bus staff was prompt and conscientious. There is a small piano bar in the corner for those waiting for a table. Prices are moderate but worth every penny. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy with big comfortable booths along the walls and a few tables in the center. The casino clamor is checked at the door.
