STEINER'S PUB
Restaurant Review
Reviewed: 8/13/98

A Nevada Style Pub? Steiner's Pub makes a claim that they are a Nevada Style Pub. I'm not quite sure what this means, perhaps it refers to the impressive collection of vintage photographs and Nevada memorabilia decorating the walls and niches, but from what I've seen I think I like "Nevada Style." This epicurian delight is tucked away in a shopping plaza. The decor is fun and promotes loud talkers making it a bit noisy at times. But the food is great! The list of appetizers is long. My favorite happens to be the Wellington Chops. Petite lamb chops with fresh thyme and seasonings, cooked to perfection. They also offer the usual appetitizer fare of wings, nachos and the like. Their dinner menu covers a wide variety. Choose from a succulent lean beef french dip sandwich, to some barbequed ribs, or maybe some Cajun Pasta! And don't forget the delicious side of garlic mashed potatoes. In fact the french fried potatoes are good too, dipped in a light tempura batter before being deep fried. Or perhaps best of all, try the homemade potato chips which are crisp, light, and cooked fresh.

The dessert menu is small but don't worry, you probably won't have room anyway. The full bar gives bottle and draught beer drinkers a selection spanning from dark rich Irish Guiness to fancy microbrews. Happy Hour drink specials are listed on each table.

The service is good although a little on the slow side for this busy restaurant. Prices are inexpensive and food is served 24 hours a day! There are rumors that other locations around town may be opening real soon. Give it a "Nevada Style" try, you'll be very pleased.
